NFL is back with bets on win totals, Super Bowl odds and Week 1 lines.
AFC East betting Preview

The New England Patriots may have run the table last season and completely run away with the AFC East title, but the talk of the division during the offseason was the New York Jets and their new quarterback.
New England Patriots Odds
The Pats easily won another AFC East division title last season after becoming the first team ever to post a perfect 16-0 record. Of course the 16-0 record became rather meaningless after they lost the Super Bowl.
New England's main weapons from last year's high-powered offense remain intact with Tom Brady, Randy Moss, and Wes Welker all back. Gone are oft-injured wideout Donte' Stallworth and cornerback Asante Samuel, who took big money in Philadelphia.
As long as Brady is healthy the offense should continue to roll, but the Patriots' usually stout defense started to show some cracks last season and could continue to decline unless some young blood takes over from a number of aging veterans.
Not surprisingly Bill Belichick's crew is a huge favorite to win the division again at -1000 at , while they're also a +300 favorite to win the Super Bowl.
Buffalo Bills Odds
The Bills finished last season 7-9 and could have made the playoffs if things had gone their way in a few very-close losses. Trent Edwards begins the season as the Bills' starting quarterback, and he'll have at least one reliable wide receiver in speedster Lee Evans.
Running back Marshawn Lynch had a successful rookie season and should continue putting up solid numbers in Buffalo for years to come as long as he can avoid any more off-field car trouble. The Buffalo defense kept them in a number of games last season, while the offense failed to provide enough points to earn much-needed wins. If the offense can improve this season Buffalo could sneak into the playoffs.
At , the Bills are a +850 underdog to win the division, while their win total was set at eight.
New York Jets Odds
The Jets slumped to a 4-12 record last season, but everyone is expecting much more this season with Brett Favre at the helm. Favre is a tremendous improvement over Chad Pennington and Kellen Clemens, but he still needs to prove he can get it done at 38 years of age.
Aside from Favre most of the Jets' offense looks the same, with Thomas Jones at running back and Laveranues Coles and Jerricho Cotchery leading the receivers. The most important signing for the Jets during the offseason may have been offensive linemen Alan Faneca and Damian Woody.
The Jets allowed a ton of sacks last season and need to improve their pass protection or Favre will end up on his back more times than he'll end up in the end zone.
With Favre in tow the Jets rose up to +800 on the AFC East betting odds at , while their win total was set at 8.5
Miami Dolphins Odds
Nothing went right for the Dolphins last season. Actually, the only thing that went right was that they didn't finish the season completely winless. Miami was 1-15 last season and things aren't looking much better this year.
Chad Pennington was signed after the Jets released him, but he's injury-prone and has a rather weak arm so he can't be expected to quickly right the ship in Miami. Ronnie Brown was having a good season last year before injuries sidelined him, but he'll likely end up sharing carries with Ricky Williams until he proves he's healthy enough to carry the load alone.
Ted Ginn Jr. is expected to be the Dolphins' playmaker, but even though he has speed to burn he lacks size and strength. On defense the Dolphins were horrible last season, and that was before getting rid of Pro Bowler Jason Taylor. Miami can hope for more than one win this season, but likely not much else.
The Dolphins are a +2500 longshot in AFC odds, while their win total was set low at 5.5.
